HealthAlliance Hospital is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care Physician for a predominantly outpatient role focusing on pulmonary and sleep medicine, with limited inpatient consultation and ICU coverage responsibilities. This position offers an opportunity to join a patient-centered team within a supportive, community-focused healthcare environment at part of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage a range of pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary nodules
- Provide evaluation and treatment for sleep disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia
- Interpret pulmonary function tests
- Work closely with referring providers and respiratory therapists to optimize patient care
- Provide pulmonary consultations for hospitalized patients on an as-needed basis
- Work closely with the hospital's medical staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care
- Participate in occasional ICU rounding or consults, offering critical care expertise
- Collaborate with ICU nurses and physicians to manage critically ill patients as needed
- Partner with advanced practice providers (APPs), nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care
- Participate in departmental initiatives, quality improvement projects, and hospital committees
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records
- Follow hospital guidelines for billing, coding, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified / Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
- Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a community hospital setting
