Provide direct nursing care to critically ill or medically complex patients within a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting at Louisiana Extended Care Hospital. This role involves collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate individualized care plans and documenting clinical findings.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill or medically complex patients
- Collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team to coordinate individualized care plans
- Monitor patient progress, administer medications and treatments, and document clinical findings
- Educate patients and families, and serve as an advocate for long-term health and recovery
- Maintain compliance with all policies, standards, and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
- Current, valid, and active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment
- Current BLS certification
Qualifications
- 1+ year of acute care, ICU, or LTAC experience strongly preferred
Nice to Have
- 1+ year of acute care, ICU, or LTAC experience
- ACLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Strong clinical judgment
