About This Role

Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to oncology patients, collaborating with medical providers to provide personalized and compassionate treatment. Advocate for patients and their families, ensuring an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and proactively anticipating patient needs
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse license
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) to be obtained within 6 months of employment
  • ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Provider to be obtained within 60 days of employment

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
