About This Role

The professional registered nurse (RN) plans, coordinates, and manages the care provided to assigned patients, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to achieve desired outcomes. This role promotes and sustains Centra's best practices for quality and service, ensures a safe patient environment, and contributes to a healthy work environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage care provided to assigned patients
• Practice under the tenets of Centra's Professional Practice Model
• Act as a leader in collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team
• Coordinate various care processes to achieve desired outcomes
• Delegate tasks as appropriate
• Promote and sustain a culture reflective of Centra's best practices for quality and service
• Create and maintain a safe patient environment
• Contribute to a healthy work environment

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Current, active license as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or current multistate licensure privilege
• Current, active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) course completion card

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Less than six months of experience for new nurses, or completion of Nurse Residency Program (NRP); one year of external nursing experience otherwise.
