RN New Grad

About This Role

The professional registered nurse (RN) plans, coordinates, and manages patient care, acting as a leader in collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to achieve desired outcomes. This role involves promoting quality service, maintaining a safe patient environment, and contributing to a healthy work culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage care provided to assigned patients
• Practice under the tenets of Centra's Professional Practice Model
• Act as the leader in collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team
• Provide the foundation for creating the interdisciplinary plan of care
• Coordinate various care processes necessary to achieve desired outcomes
• Delegate tasks as appropriate
• Promote and sustain a culture reflective of Centra's best practices for quality and service
• Create and maintain a safe patient environment
• Contribute to a healthy work environment
• Reflect the American Nurses Association's (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, the Nurse Practice Act of Virginia, and the ANA Principles of Nurse Staffing

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or current multistate licensure privilege
• Current, active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) course completion card

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Less than six months of experience (new grad program entry)

Certifications
