RN New Grad - Oncology

About This Role

Plan, coordinate, and manage patient care as a Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve desired patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, manage, and document care for assigned patients
• Delegate to care providers according to ANA Principles of Nurse Staffing
• Think critically, demonstrating appropriate clinical decision-making and prioritization
• Lead, communicate, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan patient care
• Create and maintain an environment that protects patients from harm
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG)
• Participate in initiatives resulting from nurse-sensitive quality indicators and/or unit-based quality metrics
• Ensure appropriate patient and/or caregiver education with utilization of applicable resources
• Promote and sustain a culture reflective of Centra's best practices
• Engage in own professional development as evidenced by self-assessment and attainment of degrees, certifications, and continuing education

Requirements

• RN New Graduate
• Current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or current multistate licensure privilege
• Current, active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) course completion card

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• New graduate RN
