RN New Grad - Cardiac IMU

About This Role

The professional registered nurse (RN) plans, coordinates, and manages patient care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to create care plans and achieve desired outcomes. The RN promotes Centra's best practices for quality service and maintains a safe patient environment.

Responsibilities

• Practice under the tenets of Centra's Professional Practice Model
• Plan, coordinate, manage, and document care for assigned patients
• Delegate to care providers according to ANA Principles of Nurse Staffing
• Think critically for appropriate clinical decision-making and prioritization
• Lead, communicate, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to plan patient care
• Create and maintain an environment that protects patients from harm
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG)
• Participate in initiatives resulting from nurse-sensitive quality indicators and/or unit-based quality metrics
• Ensure appropriate patient and/or caregiver education with utilization of applicable resources
• Promote and sustain a culture reflective of Centra's best practices

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program
• Current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or current multistate licensure privilege
• Current, active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) course completion card
