About This Role

Join the W.E.S.T. Float Team as a Med Surg Registered Nurse to deliver personalized, evidence-based care across Wellstar campuses, enhancing patient well-being and elevating care standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the nursing process from assessment through evaluation to deliver personalized, evidence-based care
• Build meaningful connections with patients and families, honoring their values, cultures, and care goals

• Participate in performance improvement projects, research opportunities, and shared governance
• Stay sharp with ongoing education and competency assessments
• Guide, coach, and lift fellow nurses and interdisciplinary teammates
• Lead the charge in applying evidence-based practices and participate in decisions impacting patient care tools and systems
• Plan proactively across the full patient care journey, helping shape protocols to enhance patient experiences and reduce readmissions

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• RN License (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
• BLS from AHA
• ACLS
• 2+ years of recent Med Surg experience
• Experience with computer data entry
• A+ interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfort with Microsoft Office and basic tech tools
• Calm under pressure and manage fast-paced situations and clinical emergencies
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and evidence-based decision-making

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program, BSN from an accredited school preferred
• 2+ years of recent Med Surg experience

Nice to Have

• BSN from an accredited school
• National Certification in your specialty
• Familiarity with Epic and 3M systems
