Provide quality nursing services as a Registered Nurse in the Adult ED, working with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Serve as a frontline representative, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, examine, and evaluate patients' conditions
- Assist with care plans and take appropriate actions to promote patients' short/long-term outcomes
- Deliver care plans, applying independent judgment where appropriate
- Collaborate with and communicate patient care plans to other staff
- Prioritize and coordinate optimum daily patient flow and patient experience
- Deliver safe and effective care according to policies and procedures
- Maintain appropriate documentation of patient assessment, changes in condition, care delivered, and education provided
- Listen to concerns and respond to patient needs in an appropriately timed manner
- Serve as an educational resource for patients and families on health-related issues
- Communicate necessary patient information to family, licensed care providers, and other staff
- Seek opportunities to improve the work environment and processes
- Maintain professional licenses and certifications
- Complete all required training and self-manage training/development opportunities
- Foster the growth and development of other nurses through mentorship and preceptorship
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Registered Nurse license (Multi-state Compact or Single State)
Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Bachelors Nursing or Masters Nursing-Preferred
