Registered Nurse - Adult ED

About This Role

Provide quality nursing services as a Registered Nurse in the Adult ED, working with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Serve as a frontline representative, ensuring a positive and supportive environment for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, examine, and evaluate patients' conditions
• Assist with care plans and take appropriate actions to promote patients' short/long-term outcomes
• Deliver care plans, applying independent judgment where appropriate
• Collaborate with and communicate patient care plans to other staff
• Prioritize and coordinate optimum daily patient flow and patient experience
• Deliver safe and effective care according to policies and procedures
• Maintain appropriate documentation of patient assessment, changes in condition, care delivered, and education provided
• Listen to concerns and respond to patient needs in an appropriately timed manner
• Serve as an educational resource for patients and families on health-related issues
• Communicate necessary patient information to family, licensed care providers, and other staff
• Seek opportunities to improve the work environment and processes
• Maintain professional licenses and certifications
• Complete all required training and self-manage training/development opportunities
• Foster the growth and development of other nurses through mentorship and preceptorship

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Registered Nurse license (Multi-state Compact or Single State)

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing or Bachelors Nursing or Masters Nursing-Preferred
