About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient care by applying the nursing process in a collaborative environment, aiming for optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and patient engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe and effective nursing care based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and document care activities in accordance with policies
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, participate in rounds, and support discharge planning
  • Apply critical thinking to promptly identify changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
  • Educate patients and families using teach-back to promote engagement in care and safe transitions
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection prevention practices to protect patients and Associates
  • Utilize Health First technology systems to enter clinical documentation and care plans
  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and High Reliability Organization (HRO) initiatives
  • Support precepting, mentoring, and onboarding of new Associates and students as appropriate
  • Promote a culture of purpose, rounding, and communication at the bedside

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma
  • Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Florida or endorsement
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) Healthcare Provider Completion Card
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and patient documentation
  • Demonstrated initiative in quality and patient safety improvements
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in complex environments
  • Maintains compliance with competency validations and continuing education
  • Demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to a collaborative work environment

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma
  • New graduates under consideration; preferred one (1) year or more of acute care or specialty setting

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • One (1) year or more of acute care or specialty setting experience
  • National certification in specialty area (e.g., CCRN, CMSRN, CEN)
