About This Role

The Registered Nurse coordinates Associate Wellness programs by evaluating and educating associates on illnesses, injuries, exposures, and performing health assessments and immunizations to ensure outstanding quality and service. This role focuses on maintaining associate health and compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and educate associates regarding their illnesses, injuries, and exposures.
  • Perform annual Associate Wellness evaluations and update immunizations.
  • Ensure associate compliance with N-95 and influenza requirements.
  • Coordinate all pre-employment testing, including drug screens, immunizations, medical history documentation, N95 fit testing, and color-blind testing.
  • Coordinate for-cause drug/alcohol screenings in coordination with Human Resources.
  • Coordinate TB testing, Hepatitis B, and flu shots.
  • Coordinate the Hearing/Vision Conservation Program, HAZMAT, and hyperbaric physicals.
  • Provide Associate Wellness statistics to the Infection Control department for review.
  • Analyze data and trends to make recommendations for improving associate health and wellness.
  • Research and respond to legal or regulatory programs or changes, and conduct educational programs.
  • Identify and implement ways to reduce present and future costs and expenses without sacrificing quality or customer satisfaction.
  • Show resilience and a positive perspective during stress and changes in the health care environment.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
  • Active Florida RN or eligible for license
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Completion Card
  • Working knowledge of computer data entry
  • Current knowledge of federal, state, and local occupational health and safety laws, and employee health standards

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma from an accredited professional nursing program

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience with Worker’s Compensation, occupational health, safety requirement infection control, wellness programs and health assessments
