Retail Store Manager

About This Role

Manage the day-to-day operations of a retail store, focusing on customer service, staff development, and achieving financial goals. This role involves leading a team, driving sales, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment and rapidly address customer issues
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards
• Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company channels
• Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, and securing customer loans
• Administer processes and procedures for inventory, loan management, merchandising, and store presentation
• Evaluate the store's financial statements and drive profitability through goal-setting
• Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity
• Communicate clearly with employees on store mission and profit objectives

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of management and customer service experience
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others
• Ability to work with firearms
• Minimum age 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines
• Cash handling experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of management and customer service experience (retail/sales a plus)
