Retail Store Manager

About This Role

Supervise and coordinate all retail store employees, perform management functions, and ensure excellent customer service for a family-owned company specializing in vehicle repair and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on priority, equipment, and skill of personnel
• Monitor work levels and review performance of employees
• Recommend personnel actions such as hires, promotions, discharges, and discipline
• Conduct or arrange for employee training
• Compile personnel records including time and production records
• Greet customers and ascertain their needs/desires
• Explain and obtain approval from customers for unexpected repairs
• Answer telephones and look up items on computer
• Enter orders and prepare estimates
• Compute sales prices, total purchases, and process payments
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, policies, and security practices
• Inventory and requisition materials and supplies
• Meet with vendors and suppliers regarding service products
• Oversee completion of work and verify compliance with standards
• Inspect and monitor work areas, tools, and equipment, providing safety training
• Investigate accidents/injuries and prepare reports
• Maintain hazmat book per OSHA
• Prepare and administer department budget, coordinate purchases
