Retail Store Manager

About This Role

This role involves leading all aspects of store operations, including people management, pet parent experience, and financial outcomes. The Store Manager drives company culture and strategies, ensures exceptional service, and manages daily business operations in line with company vision and values.

Responsibilities

• Manage employment decisions including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, and terminating associates.
• Build an open-door culture by engaging and listening to associates and responding to feedback.
• Create and post schedules for the entire store, managing labor within budget.
• Support associate development through reviews, recognition, training, onboarding, mentoring, and succession planning.
• Delegate effectively, empowering teammates and encouraging ownership of results.
• Lead the associate and pet parent experience, ensuring safety and health of pets.
• Address and resolve general and escalated pet parent concerns.
• Maintain store standards and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and code of ethics.
• Deliver corporate strategy and profitability goals by executing leadership direction.
• Manage expenses such as labor and supplies, and other relevant store metrics.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of retail leadership or customer-focused environment experience
• Full time availability, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
