About This Role

The Retail Store Associate plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the daily operations of a CVS Health retail store. This position involves cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor, and assisting all departments, including the pharmacy, to positively impact customers' healthcare needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion, and resolving potential service issues
• Focus on the customer by greeting them warmly, maintaining eye contact, and offering help locating items
• Accurately perform cashier duties, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks
• Support opening and closing store activities as needed
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, ensuring they are stocked and operational
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy
• Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age
• Ability to remain upright on feet for sustained periods
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently

Qualifications

• High School Diploma Or Equivalent Preferred But Not Required

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting
