Retail Shortage Control

About This Role

Join Burlington Stores, Inc. as a Retail Shortage Control Associate to ensure a secure shopping environment and deliver exceptional customer service by mitigating theft and maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance and designated dress standards
• Stand vigilant at the front of the store, aware of surroundings
• Greet every customer entering or exiting with a warm smile and greeting
• Create a secure environment and reduce opportunities for theft
• Possess knowledge of top shortage areas and theft reduction programs
• Effectively communicate theft prevention information during store rallies
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates
• Provide support in training associates on shortage reduction programs
• Role-model safety and address unsafe practices promptly
• Identify and report theft incidents and/or suspicious subjects to Manager on Duty

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to visually monitor store environment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to review, analyze and comprehend business trends
• Ability to exhibit a positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure environment with detailed focus and disciplined decision making
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers
• Excellent leadership skills that support fostering productive business relationships
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations is preferred
