You stay focused on achieving selling goals by driving performance through customer engagement and smart selling behaviors. This role is crucial for building trust, and inspiring loyalty, making each visit both meaningful and successful.

Responsibilities

• Greet & connect with customers in a friendly and genuine way, making them feel valued
• Recommend products by identifying customer needs and inspiring purchases with new and relevant items
• Offer options and solutions to customers to complete the sale
• Wrap-Up the moment to close out the customer’s shopping journey, celebrating their purchases and sharing their excitement
• Master store products, services, loyalty programs, and Macy’s sales systems to assist customers and suggest additional items
• Maintain department recovery standards, including selling floor and fitting rooms
• Deliver optimal merchandise execution presentation, ensure accurate merchandise pricing, and process markdowns in a timely and accurate manner
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships and ensures authentic connections
• Help ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers
• Review sales goals and stay updated on current trends and promotions

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
• Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
• Product Knowledge: Good understanding of the products you are selling and be able to give expert guidance to customers based on their wants, features, and choices
• Communication: Comfortable communicating with customers virtually, via phone, and in person
• Sales: Ability to build relationships with customers, achieve sales goals, and participate in pre-selling and sales-boosting events
• Technology: Utilize point of sale technology and applications to help in selling and fulfilling customer orders
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels and across departments
