Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

Join our team as a Full-Time Retail Sales Associate in a pawn store setting, where you will engage with customers, process sales and loans, and assist with inquiries. This role involves both lending and retail aspects of the business.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions
• Perform non-management open/close procedures for the store
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain the display of merchandise
• Perform sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Answer incoming calls per company standards
• Effectively communicate to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools
• Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience
• Successfully complete assigned training

Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform duties and tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting)
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
• Minimum age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Entry-level position for sales associates

Nice to Have

• Cash handling experience
