Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

The Retail Sales Associate at FirstCash is an entry-level, full-time position responsible for providing excellent customer service in pawn store locations. This role involves processing sales, loans, and other transactions, engaging with customers, and maintaining the store's appearance, working with a variety of merchandise from jewelry to firearms.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures for the store.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle all cash and negotiable items according to company policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls following company standards.
• Effectively communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Collaborate with coworkers and managers to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully complete all assigned training.
• Assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform duties and tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting)
• Minimum age of 18 years old
• Strong desire to work and serve customers with a team-oriented approach
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

• Cash handling experience
• Bilingual proficiency
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate
