Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

The Retail Sales Associate engages with customers to provide financial solutions and process sales and loan transactions in a pawn store. This role involves maintaining the sales floor, handling cash, and resolving customer inquiries while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions
• Perform non-management opening and closing procedures for the store
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and ensure proper display of merchandise
• Process sales and loan transactions according to established policies and regulatory requirements
• Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies and regulatory guidelines
• Answer incoming calls adhering to company standards
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions
• Collaborate with all employees to create a positive customer experience
• Successfully complete all assigned training

Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Minimum age of 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work and serve customers in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Entry-level position. Cash handling experience preferred.
