Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

The Retail Sales Associate engages with customers to provide financial solutions, process sales and loans, and ensure customer satisfaction in a pawn store environment. This role contributes to maintaining a clean and stocked sales floor while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures for the store.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Perform sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle all cash and negotiable items according to established policies and procedures.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
• Partner with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully complete assigned training.

Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform duties for extended periods including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Entry-level position. Cash handling experience is preferred.

• Bilingual proficiency.
