Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

FirstCash is seeking an entry-level, full-time Retail Sales Associate to join their team. This role involves assisting customers with sales and loan transactions in a pawn store, handling cash, and maintaining the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and provide financial solutions
• Perform non-management open/close procedures
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise display
• Perform sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements
• Handle cash and negotiable items according to established policies
• Answer incoming calls per company standards
• Communicate effectively to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers
• Partner with all employees to create a positive customer experience
• Successfully complete assigned training

Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting)
• Ability to work with firearms (in FFL locations)
• Minimum age 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Entry-level position. Cash handling experience is preferred.
