Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

The Full-Time Retail Sales Associate will join FirstCash's pawn store team, focusing on delivering excellent customer service for both lending and retail transactions. This role involves processing sales and loans, handling cash, and maintaining the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions
• Perform non-management opening and closing procedures
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandise displayed
• Perform sales and loan transactions according to established policies and regulatory requirements
• Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with policies and regulatory requirements
• Answer incoming calls per company standards
• Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers
• Partner with employees to create a positive customer experience
• Complete assigned training

Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform duties and tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting)
• Ability to work with firearms
• Minimum age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Entry-level sales associate

• Cash handling experience
• Bilingual
