Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

This full-time Retail Sales Associate role involves interacting with customers to provide financial solutions, processing sales and loans, and maintaining merchandise displays within a pawn store environment. The position focuses on engaging with customers and assisting with inquiries while contributing to a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with all customers to develop a rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures for the store.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain the display of merchandise.
• Perform sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle all cash and negotiable items following established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partner with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully complete all assigned training.

Requirements

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified (in FFL locations).
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Entry-level position.

Nice to Have

• Cash handling experience is preferred.
