Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

FirstCash is seeking an entry-level, full-time Retail Sales Associate to join their pawn store team. This role involves assisting customers with sales and loan transactions, managing cash, and maintaining the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures for the store.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Execute sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle all cash and negotiable items per established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Answer incoming calls following company standards.
• Effectively communicate the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
• Partner with employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully complete assigned training.

Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform duties and tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Entry-level position; cash handling experience is preferred.
