Retail Sales Associate

About This Role

FirstCash is seeking an entry-level, full-time Retail Sales Associate to join their team. This role involves direct customer interaction at a pawn store, processing sales and loan transactions, and maintaining merchandise displays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with all customers to develop rapport and provide financial solutions.
• Perform non-management open/close procedures for the store.
• Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
• Perform sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies.
• Answer incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicate to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with coworkers and managers.
• Partner with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully complete assigned training.

Requirements

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have

• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
