About This Role

Assist the pharmacy department with inventory management, stocking, and recordkeeping, using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of inventory for the Pharmacy Department
  • Perform medication stocking and maintenance
  • Maintain required records for orders filled or processed
  • Handle ordering, receiving, and restocking of all drug orders
  • Manage drug outdates, checking appropriate locations monthly
  • Ensure compliant filling of all schedule and non-scheduled medications
  • Answer telephone and refer all clinical questions to the pharmacist
  • Deliver medications to Long Term Care facility, as necessary
  • Manage orders for internal and external Departments serviced by the Pharmacy Department
  • Order and restock non-medication pharmacy supplies weekly
  • Perform all required unit dosing/prepackaging duties
  • Actively participate in the Quality program and regulatory inspections/surveys
  • Register sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle cash
  • Process manual claims for third party program prescription services

Requirements

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Registered Licensed Pharmacy Technician with the Wyoming State Board of Pharmacy or eligible for Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician-in-Training by the Wyoming State Board of Pharmacy

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Previous Retail Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.

  • Previous Retail Pharmacy Technician experience
