About This Role

As a Cosmetics Sales Associate or Beauty Advisor, you will serve as a trusted expert for customers seeking personalized beauty advice and product recommendations. You will be passionate about products and people, driving sales through exceptional service and building lasting client relationships at Macy's.

Responsibilities

• Engage, educate, and sell with confidence to customers by staying updated on trends, promotions, and new arrivals
• Welcome customers warmly, make eye contact, and foster personal conversations to build relationships
• Maintain an organized and shoppable sales floor, refresh signage and pricing, and assist with merchandise moves
• Finalize sales by sharing the Loyalty program, ensuring customer satisfaction, and offering a sincere thank-you
• Support colleagues through honesty, care, and collaboration, and continuously strive to improve performance and achieve sales goals
• Deliver personalized beauty experiences by building relationships, uncovering needs, demonstrating product application, and educating on benefits
• Drive sales and client loyalty by maintaining an organized space, leveraging clienteling tools, and participating in sales events
• Meet and surpass daily sales goals by providing exceptional service
• Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and promoting loyalty benefits
• Effectively use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
• Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
• Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours, lift at least 25lbs, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach (including above eye level)
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment are required
• Ability to use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service or selling experience is required.
