About This Role

As a Cosmetic Sales Colleague, also known as a Beauty Advisor, you will serve as a trusted expert for customers within Macy's, providing personalized shopping experiences and driving sales. You will build lasting client relationships by offering expert advice, conducting product demonstrations, and providing tailored consultations.

Responsibilities

• Review sales goals, new arrivals, top-selling items, current trends, and promotions daily
• Focus on customer engagement, offering warm welcomes and creating friendly, personal conversations
• Maintain a shoppable space by organizing counters and sales floor, refreshing signage and pricing, and assisting with merchandise moves
• Promote Loyalty program benefits and ensure customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with teammates to better serve customers and communities
• Strive for continuous improvement, take pride in work, achieve sales goals, and learn to deliver individual and store results
• Deliver personalized beauty experiences by building relationships, uncovering needs, demonstrating product application, and educating on beauty products
• Drive sales and client loyalty by maintaining an organized space, leveraging clienteling tools, promoting offers, participating in sales events, and staying updated through training and vendor education
• Meet and surpass daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service
• Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits
• Effectively use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
• Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
• Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours
• Ability to lift at least 25lbs
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders, and reach (including above eye level)
• Good close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
• Ability to frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash register to process transactions

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service or selling experience required
