As a Cosmetic Sales Associate, become a trusted beauty expert at Macy's, providing personalized shopping experiences, product demonstrations, and tailored consultations. Drive sales and client loyalty by building relationships, educating customers on beauty products, and achieving daily sales goals.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, make eye contact, and create friendly, personal conversations to build client relationships
- Educate customers on beauty products, demonstrating application and explaining benefits
- Provide tailored consultations including makeup application and skincare recommendations
- Proactively grow and manage a loyal client base through consistent follow-up and virtual outreach
- Maintain an organized and shoppable counter and sales floor, refreshing signage and pricing
- Assist with merchandise moves to support a seamless customer experience
- Share Loyalty program benefits and acquire new credit accounts
- Effectively use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions
- Review sales goals and stay updated on new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions
- Meet and surpass daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service
Requirements
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors in English
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
- Ability to deliver personalized beauty experiences by building relationships, uncovering needs, and educating on products
- Ability to drive sales and client loyalty by maintaining organized spaces, leveraging clienteling tools, and participating in sales events
- Ability to meet and surpass daily sales goals
- Ability to use point-of-sale technology and digital tools effectively
- At least 1 year of customer service or selling experience
