About This Role

As a Cosmetic Sales Colleague (Beauty Advisor) at Macy's, you will be a trusted expert for customers, providing personalized shopping experiences, product demonstrations, and tailored consultations to drive sales and build lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and teammates warmly, ensuring the sales floor is clean and organized
• Review sales goals and stay updated on new arrivals, top-selling items, and current trends
• Engage with customers to build relationships, making eye contact and creating friendly conversations
• Maintain a shoppable space, refreshing signage and pricing, and assisting with merchandise moves
• Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have all they need, and thank them sincerely
• Deliver personalized beauty experiences by building relationships, uncovering needs, demonstrating products, and educating on benefits
• Drive sales and client loyalty by maintaining an organized space, leveraging clienteling tools, and participating in sales events
• Meet and surpass daily sales goals by delivering exceptional service
• Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits
• Effectively use point-of-sale technology and digital tools to streamline transactions

Requirements

• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
• Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
• Ability to deliver personalized beauty experiences by building relationships, uncovering needs, demonstrating products, and educating on beauty product benefits
• Ability to drive sales and client loyalty

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service or selling experience required
