Retail Assistant Store Manager

About This Role

Manage day-to-day operations of a retail store, develop employees, and drive financial performance while ensuring a customer-centric environment. This role involves partnering with the Store Manager to achieve business goals and maintain asset protection.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers and rapidly addressing issues
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards
• Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels
• Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans
• Administer processes and procedures for inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting
• Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting
• Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager
• Remain up-to-date on product knowledge

Requirements

• Minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines
• Cash handling experience is required
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Analytical skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent work ethic and strong business sense
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience
