Retail Assistant Store Manager

About This Role

The Retail Assistant Store Manager oversees the daily operations of the store, fostering a productive and customer-centric environment. This role involves partnering with the Store Manager to lead and develop staff, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers and addressing issues
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards
• Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels
• Open and close the store, including cash handling and ensuring asset protection procedures are followed
• Administer in-store processes and procedures for inventory, loan management, merchandising, and reporting
• Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting
• Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued
• Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager

Requirements

• Minimum age 18 years old
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others
• Ability to work with firearms (in FFL locations)
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines
• Cash handling experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience, or equivalent experience
