Retail Assistant Store Manager

About This Role

The Retail Assistant Store Manager oversees daily store operations, partners with the Store Manager to develop staff, and drives financial goals. This role requires promoting a customer-centric environment and ensuring asset protection while working with diverse merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers and rapidly addressing issues
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards
• Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels
• Open and close the store, including cash handling and asset protection procedures
• Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, and merchandising
• Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting
• Ensure operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity
• Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of management/3rd key experience
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others
• Ability to work with firearms (in FFL locations)
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines
• Cash handling experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience
