Retail Assistant Store Manager

About This Role

Manage daily store operations, drive profitability, and ensure excellent customer service. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop employees, recruit talent, and maximize financial goals within a retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet FirstCash standards
• Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels
• Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed for asset protection
• Administer processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, and reporting
• Evaluate the store's financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting
• Ensure that operating standards meet or exceed FirstCash standards
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued
• Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager

Requirements

• Minimum six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines
• Cash handling experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Minimum six (6+) months of management/3rd key experience in a retail setting
