Resident Assistant

About This Role

This role involves providing direct personal care, homemaker tasks, and engaging residents in therapeutic activities within a senior living community. The Resident Assistant will support the independence and well-being of older adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and mobility to support resident independence
• Perform homemaker tasks including laundry, housekeeping, meal preparation, and serving
• Plan and lead therapeutic activities to engage residents
• Administer or supervise medication administration according to physician orders

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to obtain American Heart Association (AHA) First Aid certification within 6 months of hire
• Required to become med delegated upon hire and able to administer medications
• Proficient in computer use for charting and communication
• Able to work independently and make decisions within guidelines

Qualifications

• Experience in resident care is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Current, valid CBRF certification
• Experience in resident care
