This role involves providing direct personal care, homemaker tasks, and engaging residents in therapeutic activities within a senior living community. The Resident Assistant will support the independence and well-being of older adults.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and mobility to support resident independence
- Perform homemaker tasks including laundry, housekeeping, meal preparation, and serving
- Plan and lead therapeutic activities to engage residents
- Administer or supervise medication administration according to physician orders
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to obtain American Heart Association (AHA) First Aid certification within 6 months of hire
- Required to become med delegated upon hire and able to administer medications
- Proficient in computer use for charting and communication
- Able to work independently and make decisions within guidelines
Qualifications
- Experience in resident care is preferred.
Nice to Have
- Current, valid CBRF certification
- Experience in resident care
