Resident Assistant

About This Role

This Resident Assistant position provides day-to-day assistance to residents, ensuring their well-being and safety by helping with daily activities and engaging them in life skills and enrichment activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living
• Engage residents in life skills and life enrichment activities
• Help residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and safety
• Respond to call bells promptly
• Notify supervisor of resident change in condition
• Serve and collect food trays

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience working with a senior population

Nice to Have

• Direct Care Worker Certification
• Nurse Aide Certification
• Previous experience working with a senior population
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple priorities
• Organizational and time management skills
• Good judgement, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to remain calm in difficult situations
