This Resident Assistant position provides day-to-day assistance to residents, ensuring their well-being and safety by helping with daily activities and engaging them in life skills and enrichment activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living
- Engage residents in life skills and life enrichment activities
- Help residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and safety
- Respond to call bells promptly
- Notify supervisor of resident change in condition
- Serve and collect food trays
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience working with a senior population
Nice to Have
- Direct Care Worker Certification
- Nurse Aide Certification
- Previous experience working with a senior population
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Organizational and time management skills
- Good judgement, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm in difficult situations
