Provide personal care to senior residents, maintaining their physical and emotional well-being at an assisted living facility. This role involves direct patient care and medication administration, with training provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal cares including bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts
- Provide health-related services under direction of Nurse, including passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse
- Perform duties including laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities
- Observe residents and report status to appropriate staff
- Assist with onboarding of new staff
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, with compassion and kindness for residents and coworkers
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Curiosity to work with a diverse and older population
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course
