Research Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Cardiac

About This Role

Assist in cardiac research projects with direct patient care, ensuring adherence to established protocols and institutional guidelines. Collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to maintain research study integrity.

Responsibilities

• Participate in research project planning to determine feasibility of protocol implementation
• Collaborate with Principal Investigator (PI) to determine patient eligibility for clinical trial
• Ensure initial/ongoing consent process is performed and documented in compliance with regulations
• Participate in educating research subjects, families and healthcare team members on study specifics
• Perform clinical procedures including vital signs, phlebotomy, specimen collection, and patient assessment
• Participate in related audit preparation and facilitation, including FDA and IRB audits
• Evaluate disease response results and physical assessment data with the PI to determine response per protocol
• Collaborate with PI to organize all phases of grant process for submission and adherence to budgets

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, preferred.
