Physical Therapist Assistant

About This Role

This role involves assisting in the administration of physical therapy care programs, monitoring patient progress, and maintaining accurate medical records. The Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to provide direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Administer direct patient care in accordance with practitioner's prescription
• Submit required documentation
• Maintain progress notes and discharge summaries for assigned patients
• Respond to department emergency procedures for patient safety and care
• Participate in quality improvement chart reviews and activities
• Attend family meetings/conferences pertaining to patient welfare and management

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
• Current License to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in New York State
• 1-3 years of relevant experience

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 1-3 Years Of Relevant Experience, Required.
