Relief Veterinarian

About This Role

This role offers independent veterinarians flexible opportunities to provide high-quality veterinary care through Vetco's accessible clinics and hospitals, focusing on wellness, preventive care, and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Perform wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations, and administer medications at Vetco Vaccination Clinics
• Conduct heartworm testing and microchip insertion
• Perform diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures at Vetco Total Care Hospitals
• Partner with area medical director to review comfort level of cases for hospital shifts
• Focus on delivering the best care and patient experience
• Manage traffic and ensure timely service through an appointment-based model

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
• Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
• Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
• Compliance with all local state and federal mandates

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license
