Relief Veterinarian

About This Role

As an independent veterinary contractor, you will provide high-quality veterinary care to pets in the community, with the flexibility to choose your own shifts and set your rates.

Responsibilities

• Perform wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations, and administer medications at Vetco Vaccination Clinics
• Conduct heartworm testing and microchip insertion at Vetco Vaccination Clinics
• Provide preventive care and diagnostic workups at Vetco Total Care Hospitals
• Perform outpatient surgeries and dental procedures at Vetco Total Care Hospitals
• Partner with the area medical director to review comfort level of cases at Vetco Total Care Hospitals
• Manage operations, transactions, and safely restrain pets with trained staff assistance

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
• Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions
• Ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
• Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
• Compliance with all local, state, and federal mandates

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license

• DEA in good standing for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
