Relief Veterinarian

About This Role

Serve as an independent veterinary contractor providing high-quality care to pets, with complete flexibility in scheduling and compensation. Work within a structured environment at Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Vetco Total Care Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Select shifts with no minimum or maximum requirements
• Determine personal rate for each relief shift
• Perform wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations, and microchip insertions at Vetco Vaccination Clinics
• Conduct preventive care, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures at Vetco Total Care Hospitals
• Partner with area medical director for Vetco Total Care hospital shifts
• Deliver best care and patient experience possible

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
• Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
• Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
• Compliance with all local state and federal mandates

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license

• DEA in good standing for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
