Relief Veterinarian

About This Role

This role offers total career flexibility as an independent veterinary contractor, allowing you to select your shifts and determine your rates while delivering high-quality veterinary care to pets in the community through Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Vetco Total Care Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Select individual shifts for Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Vetco Total Care Hospitals with no minimum or maximum requirements
• Determine your own rate for each relief shift chosen
• Provide wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations and medications, heartworm testing, and microchip insertion at Vetco Vaccination Clinics
• Perform preventive care, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures at Vetco Total Care Hospitals
• Focus on delivering the best care and patient experience possible with support from trained staff
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal mandates

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
• Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
• Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
• Compliance with all local state and federal mandates

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license

• DEA in good standing for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
