About This Role

Serve as an independent veterinary contractor to provide high-quality veterinary care to pets through Vetco, focusing on wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations, and medication. Enjoy flexible scheduling and administrative support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality veterinary care to pets
• Perform wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations, and administer medications
• Conduct heartworm testing and microchip insertion
• Potentially perform diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures (at Vetco Total Care Hospitals)
• Partner with area medical director to review comfort level of cases (at Vetco Total Care Hospitals)
• Focus on patient care while trained staff manage operations and transactions

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
• Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
• Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
• Compliance with all local state and federal mandates

Nice to Have

• DEA in good standing for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
