About This Role

Process release of information requests, including retrieving, scanning, and transmitting medical records, while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Complete release of information requests, including retrieving and scanning patient medical charts
• Date stamp all requests and highlight data to expedite processing
• Validate requests and authorizations for release of medical information in accordance with procedures
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and providers
• Ensure that files are properly stored and maintained
• Receive and prioritize customer requests from multiple sources and work them to completion within required timeframes
• Address customer inquiries for patient information and assist callers with making record requests
• Educate customers on information confidentiality and privacy regulations
• Identify and respond appropriately to both internal and external customer needs utilizing available resources

Requirements

• 3 years of ROI experience
• ROI Navigator Module in EPIC
• Strong customer service skills
• High level of confidentiality / HIPPA knowledge
• Data entry and processing accuracy of 95%
• Experience with e-fax and PDF applications
