About This Role

This role provides essential clerical support to professional caregivers by managing all aspects of patient registration. Responsibilities include handling registration, insurance verification, financial assistance information, and point-of-service collections while maintaining accurate data input and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Manage all functions related to patient registration
• Handle registration, insurance verification, financial assistance information, and Point of Service Collections
• Ensure accurate data input and record keeping
• Adhere to all credit card handling processes due to potential access to sensitive third-party credit card information
• Courteously and Professionally greet patients
• Obtain accurate demographic insurance information
• Correctly code and verify insurance coverage
• Collect estimated patient responsibility or screen patient for assistance programs
• Answer all incoming calls to the facility
• Provide assistance to patients presenting or calling with billing questions
• Ability to work other locations as needed

Requirements

• 1 year of recent medical office, hospital registration, or banking experience
• 2 years of customer service experience
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire

Qualifications

• Associates Other or a combination of education and job-related experience
• 1 year of recent medical office, hospital registration, or banking experience and 2 years of customer service experience

Nice to Have

• 1 year of management, supervisor, or lead experience
