Registered Nurse

About This Role

This role involves functioning as the nurse in charge of an assigned shift or performing independent nursing duties requiring specialized skills. The Registered Nurse will supervise and evaluate other nursing and direct care staff, lead nursing teams, and develop individualized care plans.

Responsibilities

• Function as the nurse in charge of an assigned shift on a ward or unit requiring close professional supervision
• Assign, supervise, and evaluate the work of other Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, direct care, and/or other staff
• Serve as a nursing team leader responsible for defining and implementing nursing care plans and supervising team members
• Conduct nursing assessments and develop nursing diagnoses and care plans
• Participate in developing individualized treatment plans as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician, conduct rounds, and inform physicians of patient/client status
• Document patient/client status on clinical charts and report on progress

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Missouri or in accordance with Missouri's Nurse Licensure Compact at the time of appointment.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university OR a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university with one or more years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse OR an Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university or a Diploma in Nursing with two or more years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse.
• One or more years of professional experience as a Registered Nurse or two or more years depending on education level.
