Seasonal Interpreter

About This Role

This Seasonal Interpreter position is located at the Ozark Caverns Visitor Center within Lake of the Ozarks State Park, where you will develop and deliver interpretive programming for schools and the public, maintain the visitor center and hiking trails, and assist with stewardship efforts.

Responsibilities

• Assist, develop, and deliver interpretive programming for school groups and the public
• Clean and maintain the Visitor Center (exhibits, bathrooms, lobby, etc.)
• Maintain hiking trails (i.e., clearing trails, flagging trails, etc.)
• Partake in stewardship opportunities, such as removing invasive species and flora/fauna surveys within the park
• Assist with souvenir sales using "Point of Sale" system
• Conduct cave tours of Ozark Caverns

• Strong interpersonal skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to coordinate, manage, and direct interpretive or educational programming related to natural or cultural resources
