This role involves specialized functions related to eligibility and enrollment in the Missouri Consolidated Health Care Plan, requiring processing of various forms and responding to inquiries from members and various entities.
Responsibilities
- Process enrollment/change/cancellation and plan incentive forms for current employees and retirees
- Research required documentation and generate correspondence as necessary
- Research internal systems for accuracy and answer related questions
- Respond to plan members, employees, payroll/personnel representatives, MCHCP vendors, government entities, and internal staff regarding eligibility and other related topics
- Verify member status inquiries on topics such as leave of absence, worker’s compensation, FMLA, disability, terminations, and retirement
- Provide outreach to members, employees, Human Resources and payroll/personnel representatives requesting or verifying information
- Assist with public entity group and state members with enrollment, eligibility, COBRA enrollment, cancellations, changes, transfers, and retirement
- Research and respond to internal department inquiries regarding appeals and process approved appeals
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of relevant customer service and office work experience
- General knowledge of insurance and medical terminology
- Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute
- Maintain an excellent attendance record
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of relevant customer service and office work experience, or earned credit hours from an accredited college/university (30 credit hours for one year of experience)
